In the Shadow of Lachesis

<p class=ql-align-justify>Lachesis is the last living Serpent mother. She struggles to raise her four young <em>Seraphim</em> powerful creatures with the ability to shift between snake and human in a world that simultaneously worships and fears them. These siblings through shared devotion and tragedy emerge as the pantheon of a reimagined Egypt. We follow them and those they influence on their interwoven paths of creation and destruction. </p><p class=ql-align-justify></p><p class=ql-align-justify>Their journey introduces us to other <em>Seraphim </em>the order of Night and beings who have co-existed with humans since before we first learned to walk. Each of these people have their own traditions and ideas that converge in the cosmopolitan City ruled by the Serpents. Ultimately they make deeply personal choices that lead to a collective unraveling.</p><p class=ql-align-justify></p><p class=ql-align-justify><em>In the Shadow</em> is a web of mythology history and contemporary issues. The plot is propelled by the complex personal and moral dilemmas of its characters.
