Schools exist to prepare the next generation to change the world. All schools strive to identify critical knowledge and skills assemble dedicated instructors and establish a productive learning environment. These are essential but insufficient to establish a reputable enduring learning institution. Only those institutions built upon a foundation strong enough to preserve their history promote their ideals and prepare for the promise of the future endure. The foundation of St. Richard's School is made up of Five Pillars: Classic Curriculum Faith & Tradition Leadership Civic Responsibility and Global Readiness.<p>This book proves the enduring value of those foundational pillars. As graduating eighth graders thirty-three members of the 2008 class wanted to express their gratitude to the school by shouldering the responsibility of explaining what St. Richard's School had meant to them. Their goal was to complete the book before the 50th anniversary of the school in 2010.
