Podemos até dizer que a ética é a contrapartida grega do estudo do conceito indiano de dharma ou a compreensão da relação entre causas consciência e seus efeitos. O estudo da ética não é apenas um estudo da moralidade mas um importante avanço na direção de nossa própria consciência. Quanto mais soubermos sobre o que nos torna morais ou imorais melhores serão nossas escolhas e mais próximos estaremos de uma vida de significado e alegria. Não há iluminação sem consciência e não há consciência superior sem uma compreensão da ética que deve seguir um avanço no desenvolvimento da razão. Portanto o estudo da ética faz parte do caminho para se tornar uma pessoa mais capaz nas diversas áreas da vida.</span></p>
