The author makes a case for indo-malaysian bilateralism being a critical factor in a new ‘Asian century’ where Asia will be a deciding player in world Politics. This work is the result of a research project on “India’s strategic ‘Act East’ policy-making: a case study of indo-malaysian bilateralism” undertaken by the Netaji Institute for Asian studies Kolkata.
