The term ‘education’ a very popular and common word oftentimes evades our perception in its right perspectives. It is not a new phenomenon to human civilization rather it is as old as the human race. But with the course of time “education” has undergone innumerable changing processes – both in its meaning and objectives. In other words education prepares one to participate in the life of society in which he/she lives. One must learn the way of functioning of his/ her society and the means of fitting in with the society satisfying the demands the society places before him/her. Gaining knowledge of the society of which one is a member is important but more important is to be part of that society.Education is the process by which an individual learns the things necessary to fit him to the life of his society.
