INDIAN KNOWLWDGE SYSTEM (IKS)

Education plays very important role in any students’ life. The most important aspect of a student's life is his education. Instilling national traits in students and helping them become capable and successful in real-world situations are the two main goals of education. The goal of SavitriBai Phule University’s implementation of NEP-2020 at the time was to instill in history students a number of fundamental values including equality of gender national integration scientific temperament environmental conservation for a sustainable future and equal respect for the cultural heritage of diverse communities. As the IKS curriculum carries out the goals of the National Education Policy (2020) it aims to impart a thorough understanding of Indian subcontinental traditions as well as an understanding of the nature of knowledge and the development of the scientific method in the Indian subcontinent. Further it examines the contributions made by notable individuals to the many fields of knowledge prior to India's transition to modernity.
