Centred around the two major themes of reforms and revivalism the narrative follows the political debates and developments starting with the economic reforms of 1991 the Ayodhya issue of 1992 the BJPs unsuccessful tryst and power in 1996 the BJPs Pakistan policy from 1998 to 2004 the Godhra carnage and post-Godhra riots in Gujarat in 2002 the return of the Congress to power in 2004 the India-US civil nuclear deal of 2004 to 2008 the cloud of corruption that covered the Congress-led UPA government from 2010 to 2012 and a look at the economic situation facing the country from 1995-96 to 2003-04 to 2009 the verdict of the Lucknow Bench of the Allahabad High Court in Ayodhya case of 2010.
