Indigenous peoples in the era of development programmes

Indigenous peoples play a crucial role in preserving biodiversity and ecosystems. In many countries particularly in Africa development programmes despite their positive intentions can have adverse effects on the traditional lifestyles of these communities. This book examines the impact of the Integrated Development Programme for the Dja Mining Loop (PADI-DJA) and the many other development programmes implemented in the eastern region of Cameroon.
