Individuation – A Process of Self Realization in the Select Novels of Namita Gokhale

This book is a brief analysis on the Psychological themes of NamitaGokhale’s select works.  Carl Jung’s psychoanalytical framework has been used as the theoretical underpinning to analyse the selected works from the psychological view point.Thework demonstrates the mental agony of characters and the transition in their behavioural patterns. It largely deals with the personal unconscious of the characters and highlights their unconscious thought processes in the form of memories dreams voices and illusions.Collective cultural residue of the society is pictured through the cultural practices followed by the characters in the novel.It also pictures the positive and the negative energies of people and the resultant sufferings.Finally the self-realization of the characters about one’s position in the society is pictured.
