Indo-Tibetan Cultural Relations

<p>The Bhārat i.e. India and Tibet provided continuous strong cultural integrity for extremely long periods of time. Indian revered the Mount Kailāsh for Lord Śiva and Mātā Pārvati and Mānsarovar Lake to be the ultimate destinations for mental peace. </p><p>Another strongest relation is continuing between Tibet and India together for the Buddhist culture. Padmasambhava known as Guru Rinpoche is a very important and highly revered figure in Tibet. Trisong Detsen invited to Tibet Āchārya Śāntarakshita a great saint and scholar from ancient Nālandā University. </p><p>Numerous texts were translated during the reign of Songtsen Gampo. The king himself took a great interest in the translation work and became a scholar. For the first time some of the Buddhist precepts were incorporated into the laws of the land of Tibet.</p>
