INDOOR SOLAR COOKER Conventional Outdoor cooker has a lot of problems related to usability and risk incur in cooking outdoors. Indoor Solar cookers reduce such risk associated with outdoor solar cooking. The technology of solar cooker has been adopted over the years but the major constraint is the time spent outside to monitor the food because most solar cookers are outdoor ones. This research work is the incorporation of box type solar cooker into conventional kitchen. Thus the main objective of this research was to design construct a low-cost building integrated box type solar cooker and evaluate its performance. The performance of the indoor cooker was evaluated without load (Stagnation test) and with load (water boiling test and controlled cooking test). The stagnation temperature ranges between 54.02? and 80.72? for the air inside the pot 72.31?and 96? for absorber plate temperature and 31.4? and 43.89? for ambient temperature reading. The water boiling test was carried out using 1 litre of water and 1.5 litres of water. The indoor solar cooker was designed constructed and was then experimentally tested in terms of stagnation water boiling and cooking test.
