Induction of flowering and fruiting of mango by chemicals

A study was undertaken to understand the flowering fruiting and fruit quality behaviours of Kesar mango of South Gujarat in response to different chemicals during 2013-2014 at Navsari Agricultural University Navsari. It can be summarized that foliar application of 1% KNO3 on 15th October followed by 0.5 % Thiourea on 15th November resulted in minimum vegetative growth induced early flowering with higher yield of mango cv. Kesar fruits and monitory returns without affecting quality over control.
