Influence of compaction method on asphalt concrete quality

Compaction methods have a significant influence on the quality of asphalt concrete insufficient compaction lead to premature deformation excessive aging and moisture damage. This book studies the influence of gyratory roller and hammer compaction methods on the indirect tensile strength punching shear strength and Marshall characteristics of laboratory prepared asphalt concrete specimens. Test results have been statistically analyzed. Mathematical models have been obtained which correlates between the physical properties of asphalt concrete obtained by the three mentioned compaction techniques.
