In order to establish the clinical utility of foot progression angle and foot pressure distribution in the assessment and treatment of childhood foot pathology a reliable set of normal data describing non-pathologic feet is required. The purpose of this work was to describe and compare the normal changes in foot progression angle and foot pressure measurement values with developing age in normal children and also to determine the side differences. Additionally the relationship between the foot progression angle and percentage of medial integral were investigated. Based on the findings of this work it may be concluded that foot progression angle analysis and foot pressure distribution particular percentage of both medial and heel integrals can provide quantitative and objective information that can be used in the clinical assessment of rehabilitation strategies to detect functional abnormalities and to determine the appropriate treatment.
