INSURANCE FRAUD IN TURKEY

Insurance fraud of any type is like dynamite placed on the basis of the insurance system arisen to eliminate or minimize the actual damage caused by the unexpected risks that are covered.Insurers and those who are insured are the victims of the insurance system whose basis is damaged due to insurance frauds. It is seen that the scope of insurance fraud can be extended to organized crime chains. In this respect it can be said that insurance fraud which can reach the dimension of financing illegal activities harms the whole society in general.Our book aims to provide information about the frauds encountered and to evaluate the course of frauds in the Turkish insurance sector.
