Integrated wastewater remediation and prerequisites of the invention

The wastewater treatment system includes an electrolytic reactor with a first chamber. The second chamber and piping. The first chamber is configured to accumulate incoming wastewater. The second chamber has a pair of electrodes configured to generate an electric field. The piping is configured to connect the first chamber to the second chamber. The system is configured such that the flow of the wastewater through the electric field is essentially laminar. The treatment system also includes a precious metal extraction system as well as various filtration and sedimentation devices including a semi-permeable envelope filter.
