Integrating SVD with Wavelet Transform in Video Watermarking
English

About The Book

Digital watermarking is a technique of implanting mark or pattern in any object which is multimedia in nature to prevent its unauthorized use. The mark or pattern which is to be embedded is known as watermark and it must exclusively reveal owner of the watermark. This work presents a semi-blind digital video watermarking technique to insert invisible watermarks aimed towards strengthening the robustness imperceptibility and security of watermark embedded in the watermarked video. A combination of two mathematical transformations namely singular value decomposition and discrete wavelet transform based on the feature of entropy has been used. The watermark is embedded in frame of the video based on the entropy feature applied over the layers of the frame in areas of high entropy. Thus entropy is used to enhance the imperceptibility of watermark in video. To achieve robustness of watermark discrete wavelet transform is used. Quality of video is maintained by using Singular value decomposition. It decomposes the frame matrix into three orthogonal singular matrices and then the watermark is embedded into one of these three matrices. Hence the quality is maintained adequately.
