Cyclodextrins have the ability to solubilize hydrophobic drugs by providing a conical cavity to encapsulate it and hence used for drug delivery. So it is interesting to study the interaction of an anti cancer agent i.e.; gallic acid with cyclodextrin in aqueous media. Different physico-chemical properties such as density viscosity are used as tools to study the interactions. Uv-spectroscopic study establishes formaion of 1:1 inclusion complex. Various results reveal that the solutions are characterized predominantly by solute -solvent interactions and gallic acid behaves as a long-range structure maker.
