The text addresses contemporary issues related to cultural diversity and intercultural education with a focus on the Moroccan context. It points out that despite technological advances and the creation of a global village persistent violence based on religion ethnicity and politics continues to affect global society. In response to this violence Morocco is committed to integrating the principles of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights into its education system thereby promoting values of tolerance and openness.The text stresses the importance of educating young people in cultural diversity and respect for others from an early age in order to build a peaceful society. It also describes Morocco's efforts notably through educational reforms to strengthen intercultural education while stressing that this approach must be accompanied by teacher training.The research work envisaged includes a survey of intercultural teaching at primary level with a focus on integrating this dimension into French-language curricula.
