Internal

Internal is a collection of poems prose and musings written and compiled by Afghanistan War Veteran Christian Vanderbush. Christian was a Marine deployed to Helmand Province in support of Operation Freedoms Sentinel. While serving he would turn to writing during the more mundane moments as a way to collect his thoughts and re-center himself. He didnt however put down the pen when he returned home. Internal is a catalogue of the complexities of thought and emotion that are often dark and overwhelming. Feelings Veterans often feel the need to carry alone. Internal is an appeal to both Veterans and those seeking to understand them that these feelings and emotions are valid. This collection carries the raw power of honesty and vulnerability with it. While it is a deeply personal journey through one Marines experience the message speaks to all: You are not alone.
