On 25th November 2011 the coalition Government closed the Business Link advisory service for small and medium sized businesses. This organisation helped over half a million small businesses in their final year of operation. Elliot Forte was a Business Link Adviser for over 15 years and worked personally with over 3000 small to medium sized businesses. His story exposes the real impact Government support policy had on small businesses in both a boom and bust Britain. The book closes with an exclusive 2011 interview with Business Link founder Lord Heseltine who confirmed there remains an unanswerable case for giving advisory support to small and medium sized companies.
