Intimacy With God

<p>I came home from work one evening needing to talk to God about something. There was something on my heart. I wanted to pray but did not know how. So I lifted my hands in the air in surrender to God.</p><p>As a young girl growing up in a religious home my life was deeply molded by what my parents taught me. They belonged to the Pentecostal church and they made sure that I was ingrained in the Bible from a very young age.</p><p>My understanding of religion at an early age was that there was one right way and that way was Pentecostalism. I did not know that I could have a personal relationship with God. I did not know that Jesus died for my sins that I might have the assurance of salvation; the gift of eternal life. In coming to Christ I now had a Heavenly Father.</p><p>In Intimacy With God the author Rejoyce Zikpi shares her story about her personal faith; how doubting God turned into an intimate journey with Him.
