Into the Wild Woods

<p><em>The Rookscroft series is illustrated cozy fantasy - whimsical tales of talking animals unexpected friendships and the joy of discovery told with warmth and charm.</em></p><p></p><p>Spring was in the air that morning though the chill lingered outside. Quentin Robin and I were spending a happy afternoon in the library dreaming of adventures when a writing slope on the mantle caught Robin's eye. Inside we discovered the drawing of a cottage with a key and a map leading deep into the Wild Woods.</p><p></p><p>Robin begged us to go at once and after some persuasion Quentin agreed so the following morning we set off across fields down the lane and into the forest. But when Robin vanished overnight our happiness turned to dread as his footprints ended at the banks of a rushing stream.</p><p></p><p>We traveled through dense forests from the mountains to the sea in our desperate search . But would we be too late to save our precious friend?</p><p></p><p><em>Hello dearie I did so enjoy seeing myself in a real story book I don't know how the story goes 'cause I can't read the words but I love looking at all the pretty pictures.</em></p><p><strong>- Aunty Winnie</strong></p><p></p><p><em>I sat beside the camp fire and read the whole thing in one sitting.
