Introduction to Animal Science

Introduction to Animal Science is one in a series of Just The Facts (JTF) textbooks created by the National Agricultural Institute for secondary and postsecondary programs in agriculture food and natural resources (AFNR). This is a bold new approach to textbooks. The textbook presents the essential knowledge of introductory animal science in outline format. This essential knowledge is supported by a major concept learning objectives and key terms at the beginning of each section references and a short assessment at the end of each section. The content is further enhanced by connecting with a complementary PowerPoint and websites through QR codes (scanned by smartphones or tablets) or URLs. Based on the feedback from the first edition the 2nd ed. has been revised. Minor errors and broken links were corrected as well as the addition of more illustrations to create a more effective teaching tool.
