Introduction to Chemistry

This textbook provides a set of lectures suitable for the first college chemistry course or an equivalent self-study course at that level. The book provides historical background and insights to aid in clarifying chem-istry as it is typically taught. In this text problem sets are avoided in favor of description of chemical principles.
