Introduction to Climate Change for Community Health Nurses

Climate change is complex and confusing to the public due to its nature as a persistent threat with a global effect. Climate change has resulted in a humanitarian crisis affecting millions of people worldwide. Climate change is a global threat with direct impacts on health leading to increased morbidity and mortality. It’s predicted to add 250000 additional deaths annually between 2030 and 2050 due to indirect effects such as displacement mental health disorders the spread of disease vectors impaired air quality and food insecurity (WHO2021).
