Introduction to Quality of Service

Quality of service control is an essential issue and must be visualized and measured from beginning to end. The context plays a crucial role in the appreciation of the quality of service parameters which must be adapted to the needs of the company. In this book we address the quality of service deployed on the Internet. We start by giving some definitions of the quality of service then we study the various traffic which crosses the networks in order to obtain a classification of the different flows. A large part of this book will be devoted to the exposure of different QoS architectures by the working groups interested in the field of QoS management.
