Introduction to thermal radiation

A didactic and introductory material for mechanical engineering students although it can be used by other specialties especially in the fundamental topics. It is intended to give the student the possibility to contrast with his lecture notes and thus give him the opportunity to better understand the ideas transmitted by his professor. In accordance with the objectives of an adequate learning of the fundamentals of thermal radiation a general overview of the fundamental aspects of the theory which are required for its understanding is provided.
