Communication strategies are systematic techniques employed by the speaker to express their meaning when faced with some difficulty. Some researchers see communication strategies as interactional processes between learners and interlocutors. Various studies have laid emphasis on the nature and patterns of strategy employment in EFL context. Most studies however tend to examine those strategies in learner performance and it seems that another important dimension of communication strategies in interaction has been neglected
