Investigations on Adaptive Watermarking for Digital Images

Advances in computer networks and communication technologies facilitate the end user in sharing and distributing the huge amount of multimedia data. Similarly advancement in software technology made the end users to carry out unauthorized manipulation of multimedia data very easily. This advancement leads to many problems such as copyright protection unauthorized manipulation of multimedia data etc. Therefore a scheme to protect multimedia data for the mentioned problems is highly essential. Digital Watermarking is the elegant and most promising technique to protect copyrights of multimedia data and the research in this direction is in infant stage. Moreover adaptive watermarking schemes demonstrates that the automatism in inserting watermark is not complete and thus dependency of user is mandatory.
