Writing helps me to grow learn from my own mistakes but most importantly to gain a greater understanding as to what it takes to sustain a meaningful relationship thru it all. I don't proclaim to be an expert on this particular subject however for me just as a song writer lays out the lyrics as a writer brings forth that romantic film and/or novel which captivates their audience; though fascinating as it is true growth comes from actual experience.
