Invitro Studies of Medicinal Plants of Asteraceae

This book highlights the fact that Conservation and sustainable use of medicinal plants which are endangered are mentioned here with the conversational strategies. Immediate attention of all the scientific community along with native communities who are using these plants. Habitat destruction is a major threat to the survival of medicinal plants. Proper documentation of indigenous and ethnobotanical knowledge in India will help to establish the baseline data and to plan for conservation programs. The present investigation was carried out on three plant species of Asteraceae namely Glossocardia Bosvallea Siegesbeckia Orientalis and Spilanthes Acmella. Tissue culture protocol developed and the phytochemical analysis are presented here.
