Irene Iddesleigh

Irene Iddesleigh tells the story of the titular character Irene a young woman of beauty and virtue who finds herself entangled in a web of misfortune and betrayal. Born into a wealthy family Irene's life takes a tragic turn when she marries the deceitful and manipulative Sir John Dunfern. Despite her love for him Sir John proves to be unfaithful and cruel leading Irene into a downward spiral of despair and heartbreak. As the narrative unfolds readers are introduced to a cast of eccentric characters including Irene's conniving relatives and a host of melodramatic villains. The novel is filled with extravagant descriptions grandiose declarations and overwrought emotions all delivered in Ros's distinctive writing style.
