The contents of this volume are of exceptional value because a great fund of unexpected genealogical data is included; for example while each entry gives the name of the bride and groom the date and place of marriage places of residence and sometimes the occupation and station of the groom it often includes the names of parents and their places of residence. In addition page references to Walker's Hibernian Magazine are cited. Altogether some 9000 brides and grooms are given and they are listed alphabetically by surname of both bride and groom. The book is further enhanced by the addition of a 52-page index to the births marriages and deaths recorded in the Anthologia Hibernia during its two years of existence 1793-1794. This section was prepared by Sir Arthur Vicars Ulster King of Arms.
