Irritable bowel in adolescents with depression

Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is a relatively common functional gastrointestinal disorder (FGID) which is characterized by chronic relapsing abdominal pains or discomfort abdominal distensions and changes in bowel habits with and without organic cause. It is mostly affecting young adults. This book points a new overview of its association with depression. Both being common are interrelated presenting a new aspect of IBS.
