Is There a War on Surburbia? Calling a Truce in the Battle Over Land Use

<p class=ql-align-justify>Current debates over land-use planning have taken on the same strident ideological and almost religious zeal that dominate other hot-button political disagreements which isn't surprising given that where we choose (or happen) to live reflects some of our most fundamental values. Americans' politics are deeply divided by cultural issues and there are few things more cultural than whether we live in big cities: suburbia small towns or the countryside.</p>
