<p><i>Isavasya Upanishad</i> is 40th and last chapter of <i>Yajurveda</i> and is considered the first <i>Upanishad</i>. Though it is the smallest <i>Upanishad</i> with only 18 slokas yet it contains the essence of the Vedic philosophy and spiritual wisdom. It remains one of the most profound spiritual as well as religious teaching and is spiritually very useful for every human being irrespective of his/her faith/religion.</p><p>The first sloka of this Upanishad contains the word <i>‘Isavasyam’</i> so it has been named <i>Isavasya Upanishad</i>. ‘<i>Ish</i> or <i>Isa</i>’ signifies <i>Ishwar</i> i.e. <i>Paramatma</i> the Supreme or the Universal Soul and ‘<i>vasyam</i>’ means pervaded by; thereby ‘<i>Isavasyam</i>’ meaning that 'everything in this universe is pervaded by the <i>Ishwar</i> or the <i>Paramatma</i>'.</p><p>'Isavasya Upanishad: Essence of Wisdom' is an attempt by an Alpagya seeker to explain this sacred text to all his known and unknown fellow seekers / devotees and is a sincere call to join on this sacred and ultimate journey of human life.</p><p>About the Commentator:</p><p>Raj Bhambu has donned various hats i.e. of being an Indian Army Officer a Banker and Corporate Leader in MNCs an Entrepreneur Strategy Consultant and an Author.
