About the Author: Ghulam Rasool Dehlvi is a Delhi-based writer on Sufi mysticism. Well-versed in Urdu Arabic and Persian he is a classical Indo-Islamic scholar well-trained in Sufi seminaries in various lineages— Naqshbandiyya Qadiriyya and Chishtiyya. Initiated into the Naqshbandi Order by Turkish Sufi Saint Sheikh Esref Effendi (Founder Sufiland Germany) and by Pir Zia Inayat Khan into his grandfather’s Universalist Sufi lineage Dehlvi has received invaluable guidance from American Sufi Master Murshid Sam’s disciple Pir Shabda Kahn (Spiritual Director Sufi Ruhaniyat International). He has accumulated a wealth of wisdom from Indian Sufi Masters and Mystics of other traditions. He was recently a Resident Scholar at the Auliya Council of North America New York USA and the Consultant on Islamic Affairs at the National Security Council Secretariat New Delhi.
