In less than 50 years after the death of Muhammad through conquest and conversion Islam shook the foundations of Byzantine and Persia the 2 most powerful civilizations of the era.  In less than a century Islam dominated an area larger than the Roman Empire at its peak.</span></p><p><br></p><p class=ql-align-justify><span style=background-color: rgba(0 0 0 0); color: rgba(0 0 0 1)>Islamic Golden Age: </span></p><p class=ql-align-justify><span style=background-color: rgba(0 0 0 0); color: rgba(0 0 0 1)>The Abbasid historical period lasting to the Mongol conquest of Baghdad in 1258 CE is considered the Islamic Golden Age.  During this period the Muslim world became an intellectual center for science philosophy medicine and education as the Abbasids championed the cause of knowledge and established the House of Wisdom in Baghdad.
