<p>This ethnography examines the relationship between development policies women's reproductive practices and understandings of Islam in Morocco. It shows how female patients at reproductive health clinics appropriate medical practices aimed at crafting modern citizens to create new religious identities novel ideas of motherhood and neoliberal citizenship based on Islamic beliefs. </p>
