It Could've Been Anything...

<p></p><p>         ...but instead it was this. I have been writing down my many errant thoughts for years now. Sometimes in ways that others have found profound. Sometimes just in ways I needed in that moment.</p><p>         This book is a collection of my poetry; gathered together from scraps and recordings papers and text documents. Some of the inclusions even date back more than a decade before this publication's release. </p><p>         I have fashioned them along with the many sketches and doodles I scratched during my years at college thoughtfully preserved in their own art project. Listless musings both whimsical and distraught. Remembered lyrics to songs that would play endlessly in my head. Countless unthinking strokes of a tired pen.</p><p>         If you have found this book I hope you treat it well. Read it outside in the rain. Place your drink upon it as a coaster. Toss it with abandon across your desk when you finish reading. I want this book to <em>live</em>.</p><p>         I hope the smudges of ink and lines from the paper have bled through. I hope <em>you</em> get something out of your experience with this book. I mostly made it for <em>me</em>.
