About The Book

In the beginning I was a vibrant and energetic individual full of dreams and aspirations. But when Graves' disease and NDPH entered my life everything changed. Suddenly I found myself trapped in a body that no longer obeyed my commands constantly battling against relentless pain and fatigue.

As I embarked on this unexpected journey of self-discovery I quickly realized that the impact of chronic pain and invisible illnesses extended far beyond the physical realm. It was as if a dark cloud had settled over my once sunny disposition casting shadows on every aspect of my life. The simplest tasks became monumental challenges and the things I once took for granted now seemed like distant memories.

But amidst the chaos and despair there was a glimmer of hope. Through countless doctor's appointments therapy sessions and endless research I began to understand that my identity was not solely defined by my illnesses. They were just one part of who I am—an integral part—but not the entirety.

I discovered the strength within me that I am here to share with you. This is my own journey as I feel it. The highs and the lows. I hope this allows you to gain some understanding of those affected by chronic pain and invisible illness and give strength to those who are coping with their new reality.
