Jaú Industrial School

This book aims to recover the history of the Joaquim Ferreira do Amaral Industrial School in Jaú from its first years of operation until 1960 which was intended to train students for the imminent industrialisation and urbanisation of the city. In addition it is also pertinent to revive the city's history from the same period so that memories are not lost over time. Through local and regional newspapers photographs and accounts from students teachers and staff at the time it was possible to analyse the school's representativeness seeking to uncover what it meant in the developmental reality of Jauense.
