Jacob's Ladder in John's Gospel

This book has contribution by the connection between the motifs in Gn 28:12 and Jn 1:51 as well as between Jn 1:51 and Revelation with eschatological perspective. In this book John 1:51 and the motif of “Jacob’s ladder” in Genesis 28:12 Jaesoon Kim makes conclusion that the motif of “Jacob’s ladder” in John’s gospel and Revelation to present the eschatological tension between “already” and “not yet”. Jesus is the connection between heaven and earth as like the ladder it advanced to the future second descension because the angels ascending and descending relates to the incarnation ascension and the parousia of the Son of Man. From this conclusion the eschatological interpretation of John’s using of Gn 28:12 and connection to Revelation can be possible.
