About The Book

I heard this story from an elderly friend of mine who used to meet me often at the temple. He had spent some of his years in a similar environment. There is this saga reverberating in the streets of Jaipur in which some reality is also hidden. There was a woman named Chhapki who had lost her clothes many times lost her mind and lost her life. Unseen enemies who would have escaped his eyes every time. Even after entering the black society there was no decline in his purity. She was the widow of a soldier who had gone to the cities after being rejected by the village. I left no stone unturned in depicting the village and the city. The characters actions and their colloquial language reflect the village but the city they live in.This is a great work full of humor and satire. While writing the novel attention sometimes gets lost sometimes the characters start remembering others. But whatever happens the whole caravan goes on and on and on. A novel is a very long distance there is only a story but a long distance. So much so that many times want to say something and write something. Although the meaning comes out to be the same its results are also the same. Some of the initial pages of the story are taken to understand Chhaki after which after a few pages a ghastly Bairagi named Dev Maharishi comes to the fore. Like a monk he also meets Chhapki and understands all his problems.
