James and Kudo Dog

James his brother and sister all want a dog but their mother needs to think about it. When they decide to bring the dog home they face some challenges. The dog throws up in the family car makes a mess in the house and steals the children's socks. Everyone is upset and the mother wonders if adopting the dog was a good idea. They learn that the whole family must work together to take care of their new pet. They also discover that having a dog creates opportunity for being active playing outside and family bonding. Through their teamwork they come to experience the full joy of owning a pet and working together as a family. James and Kudo Dog is a pleasant read for an early or beginning reader written at a Flesch-Kincaid Grade level of 1.3. It is the 2</span><sup>nd</sup><span> book in the James Goes Fast series. </span></p>
