<p><span style=color: rgba(26 26 26 1); background-color: rgba(255 255 255 1)>From the point of view of its classical literatures Southeast Asia can be divided into three major regions: (1) the Sanskrit region of Cambodia and Indonesia; (2) the region of Burma where Pali a </span><u style=color: var(--link-color); background-color: rgba(255 255 255 1)>dialect</u><span style=color: rgba(26 26 26 1); background-color: rgba(255 255 255 1)> related to Sanskrit was used as a literary and religious language; and (3) the Chinese region of Vietnam.</span></p><p>This selection includes fiction (short stories) from several regions in Southeast Asia including Singapore Indonesia the Philippines Taiwan Burma Malaysia Vietnam and Thailand.</p>
