Japanese Official Development Assistance towards Latin America

This book has as its main goal to explain the evolution and motivators both economical and political in granting official aid for development (ODA) by Japan to Latin American countries in particular Brazil during the period enclosed between 1960 and 2001. The focus employed is the so-called realistic because it allows highlighting the characteristics of such policy in accordance to each period studied. To such effect the case of Brazil was analyzed taking into consideration diplomatic relations between both countries and at the same time ODA funds granted Brazil by Japan in the same period.
