Jerold Buckner Return To Jamaica Central

Tells the story of Jerold Buckner a retired chief detective from Jamaica Central Police who leaves his career to pursue farming. Despite his efforts to embrace rural life with his wife Atelier and their children Buckner is troubled by unresolved crimes-especially the murder of his trusted informant Arnold Lawrence. When his former protégé Johnny Reynolds becomes police commissioner Buckner is asked to help solve a backlog of unsolved Lost Souls Files focusing on the mysterious file XXXCVIII.Buckner faces internal conflict between his peaceful farm life and his sense of duty as a detective. He must adapt to new investigative methods mentor younger officers and navigate departmental politics and limited resources. His family initially reluctant gradually supports both his farming and investigative work.
