Jessie and Shawn Nightwine continue their battle to legitimize their marriage and family. Joshua Natimate a powerful attorney and the astral messiah refuses to drop his case against them. It angers Jessie that her best friend fights her so mercilessly in court but a much bigger threat soon presents itself and distracts her from the trials. The Vashnevee a formidable immortal force of beings do not care about legal proceedings or fair trials. They demand one of two immediate solutions: the death of their mortal enemy Shawn or the murder of all Nightwine children. Jessie is forced to seek help from those she betrayed in the not-so-distant past.
